The Warrior Collection; from Dixi

Hi everyone! As a complete and utter jewellery junkie, I'm very excited to show you all the new collection from the gorgeous online store Dixi. I first discovered Dixi through Twitter (@shopdixi) and it was love at first sight! The 'Warrior Collection' features a Navajo inspired set of earthy jewellery and clothing with a few elements of a tougher edge representing a warrior side! The pieces themselves are so affordable it could almost justify owning the whole collection, however with an intention to be sensible, below are a few of my favourite picks!

I love the mystical-rainbow gem stones of the rings, I know I won't be the only one to say they remind me a lot of the mood rings my friends and I used to collect when we were younger! (Mine always used to turn bluey-grey, which I think apparently means I'm happy! Whether the science behind this is correct who knows, but I'll take it!) Speaking of friends, how amazing are the woven friendship bracelets as well?

At the moment I'm also loving the punk-inspired trend of plentiful spikes and studs. These cuff bracelets and rings are definitely the perfect fix and they look great teamed together!(See the pic below)

Bar from the lovely jewellery pieces there lots of vintage sheer shirt dresses and blouses available which are perfect to throw on in the summer evenings.  My favourite is this gorgeous 'Elle pattern shirt dress'. Available here. It's so feminine and floaty and I love how it's been nipped in at the waist with a classic belt!

What do you all think of the new Warrior Collection? Have any of you bought from Dixi before?

Invitation Only June Event

Hello Hello, long time no blogging I know! The past few weeks I have been seriously pre-occupied with my summer job working as a resident in a boys' house at a summer school. (Remind me never to have sons ha) so fashion has had to step aside whilst I attempt to avoid water fights and mouse traps! For those of you who have read the earlier post I did featuring the Next GB supporters scarf, I recently received some good news from Gemma at Spreading Jam that Next decided to feature the post on their website! Woo! You can check out the link here.

In other news, last month I was invited to attend the ‘Invitation Only’ June event! Admittedly at first I hadn’t really heard of them but after a quick trusty Google search it showed the premise of these bi-monthly pop-up shop events is to feature a selection of various collections from up and coming designers!  So I grabbed my Oyster card, bullied my brother into playing taxi driver and headed to South Kensington to the Becca Boutique to check it out!

The designers featured were Ruffle and Ruffle, Crow, Barbara Benner, Seline, Aloe, Savanna Bettencout and Jeeves and Miller to name a few and there were some lovely pieces from swimwear, accessories and garments. My favourite collection following in the style of my last post were the simplistic and chic pieces from Aloe consisting of silk shirts and shorts, maxi dresses and skirts in nudes, creams and black.

Mono-Chrome from Aloe

Beautiful jewellery from Olivia. Check out the statement gold ring!

Ruffle & Ruffle

A touch of India was brought with these gorgeous embellished scarves.

I'm lusting over these heavy fringed bags from Barbara Benner!

Popping colour clutches from Miller & Jeeves

Another favourite was the sunny yellow Ruffle and Ruffle cropped shirt dress, with a sheer skirt length. We thought it would look great with a pair of leather shorts underneath! And of course the over sized arm candy from Barbara and Seline would go nicely with it too!

After lots of browsing some yummy treats were also on offer with a table full of delicious macaroons and cupcakes with cute tea cup sets for a spot of afternoon tea!  So pretty they were almost to good to eat.

It was great to discover some new designers and I definitely have a few more pieces on my lust list as well as a pretty tea set!  A big thanks to Invitation Only for the invite! Have any of you attended an Invitation Only event?
