Sunglasses season has come early! With sunny blue skies prematurely taking over in March I’ve found myself already searching for a new pair of sunnies and have been loving the retro sweeping Cat’s eyes!

Glamorised in the 1950’s by the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, the seductive up-sweep has been re-worked allowing sunglasses to take a step away from the classic Wayfarer and Aviators styles that usually dominate the summer scene. From dramatic statement flicks to the squarer and boxier styles, I think the cat’s eyes trend will suit a range of face shapes and tastes and inject some retro glam into any outfit.

Celebrities from Olivia Palmero to Nicole Richie have been seen adopting the feline trend, with even sunglasses giants ‘Ray Ban’ releasing their own design for the 2012 collection.
