Music Mixbag: Spring Remix Edition

It's my favourite.. Music Mixbag time! I've put together this little May/Spring edition with summer in my ears! Well...it's on the lead up to summer at least, so I thought I would do a beachy summer mixture of some of my favourite remixes I've been loving at the moment! Hope you guys enjoy and if you haven't heard them already, you discover a few new tracks to add to your playlists! Let me know what you think!

Tove Lo: Stay High (feat Hippie Sabotage) Habits Remix

Love this song! I've been listening to this pretty solidly over the last couple of months or so and can't get enough of it! I've still not actually heard the original of this song which I think makes it all the better as it shows this remix must be pretty amazing to make me love it so much! It's synth-heavy, chilled out and pretty much able to strike a cord with everyone!

Clean Bandit: Rather Be (The Magician Remix)

Ah this little remix adds a dreamy, summery, garage vibe to this chart topper! Of course like most people I still love the original (I heard the other day it was one of the most streamed songs on Spotify.. ever!)  but it's so refreshing to hear a new take on it!

Ben Pearce: What I Might Do (Kilter Remix)

So I spend far too much of my time on Majestic Casual's Youtube channel. It made my day when they bought out an album towards the end of the year! If you like this kind of music and haven't subscribed yet I really recommend you do! Check it out here. This Kilter Remix of Ben Pearce has been one of my favourites on their channel lately and one I loved chilling out listening to on the beach in Thailand!

Rudimental ft. Becky Hill : Powerless (MK Remix)

Ok so where do I begin! It took me a little while to get into this remix, it has a fairly long build up at the beginning but when it gets into it, get your bass turned up! MK, who you may know from doing this remix of Wankelmut & Emma Louise's; My Head is a Jungle (also amazing!) has returned with this remix of Rudimental's Powerless! I also love Becky Hill's voice featured in this, why she didn't get further when she was on 'The Voice' is beyond me!

Ed Sheeran & Passenger : No Diggity vs. Thrift Shop ( Kygo Remix)

Ok so this one I may have stolen from my friend who introduced me to the whole Kygo remix thanngg. But I deny anyone not to love this! Remixing the acoustic set from Ed Sheeran and Passenger with an upbeat, summer kind of shiny house melody it's the perfect holiday song! I heard this being played at one of the beach bars in Koh Tao whilst I was watching the sun go down - someone take me back!

Bumble & Bumble Curl Conscious Reactivating Mist

Bumble & Bumble Curl Conscious Reactivating Mist 250ml // Boots

If there's one thing I hate about having naturally curly/wavy hair, it has to be the frizz! I decided to start cutting back on using heat and especially straighteners on my hair this year to try and help it grow and strengthen, so along the way, I've invested in a few products to calm it's frizzy nature. First up on my frizz-maintaining faves is this Reactivating Mist from the Curl Conscious range by Bumble & Bumble.

Let me start off by saying how much I LOVE this product. At £20.50 it's not the most purse-friendly, however I read a few product reviews before buying it (as always!) and the feedback on the whole seemed really good so I decided to take the plunge! I bought this around 4 months ago and have been using it on a day-to-day basis ever since! The mist is a very lightweight formula and works fantastically on both freshly washed, wet hair, to rejuvenating curls on those in-betweeny days. (I did however decide not take it on holiday with me as the bottle is quite weighty - not a good decision!)

Using it on wet hair: Although this is not strictly what this product is designed for, (what a rebel, hey?!) before leaving my hair to air-dry naturally, I usually spritz this all over freshly washed, towel dried hair as a last step after I have applied my hair oil. I really notice a difference as my curls dry gently more defined without any sticky-residue as you can get with some leave in mousses etc.

Using it on dry hair: I think this is where this product really works for me, I can find after a day at work my curls tend to fall a little and frizz up towards the root, before I used to add a little bit of water throughout the ends to try and calm it or use my straighteners to add a few curls, however a few spritzes of this and it is noticeably more manageable and my curls do lift up and look more defined again! On the odd occasion where I have sprayed too much on dry hair, I do notice there can be a bit of build up and it can go a little on the sticky side, so I would recommend going easy and keeping it to as few sprays as possible!

Would I Re-Buy? Yes - although I just wish it wasn't quite so pricey! I'm really keen to try the other products in the curl conscious range now!

Have any of you guys used the Curl Conscious Range?
