MAC Haul - a new feature!

Hello Hello! I am excited to bring to you all my first official beauty product review post!!
Admittedly in the past I have always mentioned briefly or featured products I am using or recently loving, but I decided I wanted to make these a more regular feature to my blog, so as a result... make way for the beauty posts!
Like many girls, I am a self-confessed product junkie. I have always been a mahousive fan of all products, whether it be hair, make-up, nails, body you name it, I love to read beauty blogs and join in the #bbloggers chat, so I realised this feature is in fact massively overdue!

So for my first post is my recent MAC haul after their 10% off promotion! MAC, a solid favourite for many make-up mad ladies, is undoubtedly one of my personal favourite make-up brands, ever. Aside from the amazing product selection, (I wish I could own every lip colour!) I always feel assured that despite gathering my pennies for the inital price tag, I am purchasing a decent product that will outlast many of the other cheaper bits and pieces I buy. It probably helps I also keep a nicer foundation such as this for more special occassions and not everyday wear.

Style Frost Powder Blush // £17.50

My love affair for MAC blusher first began a year or two ago when I bought the MAC mineralize 'Warmth of Coral' blush. I was gutted when it finally ran out and as a limited edition product, I did wonder if I would find a colour that I would like just as much. However the lovely people at my local MAC (Bristol Cabots) helped pick out this 'Style Frost' Powder blush as they said it would be suited to my greeny hazel coloured eye and I have to say I love it!

The pinky-coral shade of the blush has a matt-creamy look and sits very well on the skin when lightly brushed on. I don't feel like it's too heavy and I didn't need to layer my brush to get a noticeable hint of colour. I would say it can be easy to go a bit overboard through, so be careful how much you apply to the brush! No one wants a Bridget Jones-esque blusher scare!

Studio Fix Foundation // £20.50

The next product I bought was an update on my Pro Longwear foundation I previously owned. I bought the foundation in the same colour, NC30, and found that the Studio Fix fluid was lighter and the colour was less intense, which as someone who's skin can't hack too much foundation worked in my favour. A small amount did provide smooth, matt coverage and therefore I found I needed less of it! It also had a extra 5 factors of SPF, which will be handy when the sun is back out! The one downside is that the bottle unfortunately doesn't come with a pump unlike the Pro Longwear and did wear off slightly easier- although that was to be expected in comparison.

Here is what they both looked like on :)

Other Make Up // Eyes: Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black // Brows: L'oreal Pencil
As you can see by the picture I probably could have afforded to apply a bit more blusher, but as I was going to work I thought I would keep it natural with just a hint! I also think my camera softened it out a little in the light!

What do you all think? Do any of you wear MAC foundation or blusher?
