Blood Orange & Leopard Print

Deena & Ozzy Parker Buckle Chelsea Boots // £75 // Urban Outitters    Blood Orange Knit Jumper // £24.99 // H&M   Leopard Print Clutch // N/A // c/o Next      Black Jessie Jeggings // £28 // Oasis

Helloooo Mixbagers! Today's post brings a bright and breezy casual day outfit that I recently coined together. A slouchy jumper and jeans is by no means groundbreaking but sometimes it really is the simple things that I love! This blood orange jumper has become a big old fave recently with it's sassy brightness, cosy chunky knit and perfectly long sleeves - that sounds odd but you know that snug length when a jumper sits comfortingly long enough over your hands? Well, that.. please say it's not just me?!
It goes with a whole array of colours from greys, blue jeans to whites and is so easy to wear it's become very much a staple in my wardbrobe!

I love to throw in a print with this kind of bold colour, if anything just to set it off and inject a bit of fun into a simplistic outfit. This little leopard print leather clutch-come-shoulder strap bag from Next has been perfect to carry a few essentials out and about! It even has a faux-fur feel it too. Ooohhh.

Onto my next favourite thing these BOOTS. I had to capitalize that purely because I have so much love for them! After puppy destroyed my apparently very chew-able black Oasis ankle boots (R.I.P my little suede numbers) I used an Urban Outfitters discount code to purchase these beauts! In all honesty I have never bought shoes from UO before but these Deena & Ozzy Chelsea boots are amazing. I love the buckle detail style of them and whenever I have them on, the cuban style heel and sole feel pretty damn sturdy - which comes as a nice change to alot of the cheapy pair of boots I've bought in the past!

Tartan & Baroque

How bloomin' freezing has it all of a sudden got? Today was the first day I cracked out the gloves and multiple layers to go to work in so I thought I would share with you all my new favourite winter accessory - this amaaaazing tartan blanket scarf from Zara. I've been loving all the Tartan coming into fashion so once I spotted this online for only £19.99 I had to get it. It's double sided with a traditional scottish tartan one side and a black and white check the other. It is literally the biggest, softest and cosiest scarf I own (pretty sure you can use it as an emergency picnic blanket too if you find yourself in that predicament?!) so it's a lotta scarf for a small price! I teamed it with my baroque print skinny jeans from River Island, and Feather band floppy hat from Fox & Feather in Bristol which I loveee and got when I went to their store opening a little while ago. I managed to get a cheeky 10% off it with their fun discount darts game - I'm not the most skilled with a dart, put it this way, I missed the whole board to start with so I was pretty chuffed with any discount! If any of you live near/in Bristol I recommend giving it a visit, it really reminded me of all the fab vintagey boutiques up and down Northern Quarter in Manchester.

Ps.As usual Puppy always ends up stealing the limelight - look how much bigger she's got!!

If you were born in the 80's

Heyyy Mixbagers!  Below are a few quick snaps of a casual day outfit I wore recently to my internship when Spring was trying to make its way through! I have no idea what happened to my hair that day - but it seems to have gone XXL so I look like I'm channeling a bit of an 80's vibe with big hair and a denim shirt haha!

I'm wearing my fave little mini dress from Topshop (honestly it's so good for layering, you can easily pop it under jumpers, or with cardigans etc!) denim shirt from Oasis and Cross Necklace from Matalan. I hadn't shopped in Matalan for... errr actually I couldn't tell you how long ago, but found some great and very cheap little jewellery pieces in there when I popped in last month, so I recommend it if you need to pick up a couple of things at a purse friendly price! I've teamed this casual look with my classic heeled boots from Miss Selfridge and felt super comfy! I'm not wearing any bracelets or rings which is quite unlike me - but because I work all day on a laptop they only clang against the desk so I figured it was probably for the sake of the office I didn't wear my usual amount!

Tallulah Western Shirt // Oasis // £30
Cross Necklace // Matalan // £5

Snow Day Outfit

Hi everyone! As part of my new year blogging resolutions I said I would try and spend more time doing outfit posts so.. drum roll please, here is my first outfit post of the year! It was surprisingly alright jumping out in the snow to take some shots although I don't know about you guys, but it's made me realise I have no practical shoes to wear in this kind of weather at all - apart from wellies!

Faux Leather Quilted Biker Jacket // Topshop
Collared Crew Jumper // Oasis
Skater Dress // Topshop
Chelsea Boots // Miss Selfridge
Beanie // Topshop

I'm wearing my faux leather biker jacket from Topshop with a collared crew jumper from Oasis. Originally this jumper had an animal print collar (which I love) but I was given this unwanted leather collar from my Mum who has the cream version, so I decided to switch it for this outfit! The jumper is super soft and cosy and as I'm a sucker for collared tops, I love the fact you can switch the collars on it as they are detachable, or you can remove them completely to make a pretty versatile classic crew neck! It just means I'm now more tempted to get it in different colours!

Underneath I'm wearing a classic plain black skater dress which is last season Topshop. Although it's sleeveless it's pretty perfect when it comes to layering up in winter and my plum chunky knit beanie which is, guess what, also from Topshop always adds a bit of extra warmth!
- I've only just realised how much of this outfit is from there, ooops sorry guys, bit Topshop obsessed-
It's been my favourite beanie to wear this winter not only because it keeps my head so snug but injects a bit of colour into lots of outfits! My little Chelsea boots are from Miss Selfridge - you've probably seen it my other outfit posts as they're my everyday go to boots and surprisingly they have quite a gripy sole!

What have you all been wearing in the snow?

Leather & Studs

Hola! I thought I would do a little outfit post on what I wore to The Editeur blogging event which I last posted about! I'd finally invested in some black (p)leather shorts from Topshop, and I've only just discovered just how much they go with pretty much anything whether you're trying to dress up or dress down! They're so comfy as well so I've been regretting not buying them sooner!

I wore them with a white hi-lo River Island jumper that has a little twinkly silver thread running through it but unfortunately my camera didn't quite pick up on that! I also popped on an Aztec gold pendent necklace from Topshop and my trusty Chelsea boots from Miss Selfridge. The studded tan bag is an absolute bargain from Primark! I thought it looked quite Zara-styley and at least twice the amount its actually worth (£12.99).  To add a bit of a colour, I wore my latest favourite lipstick, a bright coral shade from Barry M!

For those of you who have seen the last post, you'll remember me saying how fun the event was and amazingly a blogger competition was arranged with a Alice by Temperley scarf up for grabs! Thanks to the lovely Editeur Team and Sarah and Claire, my blog post was chosen and I won the gorgeous tiger print scarf! (See the post on The Editeur website here ) I can't tell you how happy I was when it came through my letter box on Friday! So again a huge thank you to the girls for selecting me! I could definitely rival the wild in it! Here is a pic of it in all it's glory:

Just to add to my blogger happiness this week (sorry if I keep gushing) I was so chuffed to see Fashion Mixbag has reached the 100 follower mark! Not a massive amount in comparison to many other blogs I know, but it meant a lot to me, so thank you to all you fabulous Fashion Mixbag-ers for following!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
