Millennial Pink

Pink Teddy Bear Coat - Topshop
Stripe Jumper - Next
Over the knee boots - New Look
The Teddy Bear Coat has no doubt got to have been the coat of the season, so when I spotted this perfect pink number in the Topshop sale I knew it would be the answer to my winter sartorial dreams!   Long, cosy and unstructured, with dreamy big statement buttons, it's just like wrapping yourself up in a fluffy warm hug. I'm so in love with the millennial pink colour of it too, err so yes... millennial pink is very much a thing it seems now, but when I've come to write about it I've got to hold my hands up and admit, I've had no idea how to describe it! To think that a new shade of pink has been created when there are a helluva lot of shades already out there is a bit cray, but I can assure you millennial babes, it has very much been given the thumbs up as a pantone shade in its own right. Glamour have described it as 'Pink with the blue taken out of it,' whilst the Guardian have dubbed it a 'grapefruit shade of apricot salmon'. Hmmm, doesn't quite have the same tasty appeal when you describe it like that does it? But either way I am very much a fan so, welcome to my wardrobe millennial pink! You'll no doubt have seen it up and down the catwalk to basically gracing everything on the rails in Zara!

The best thing about this coat is it will go with so many items in your wardrobe! Greys, pinks, black, white and denim blues, you name it and this pink baby has got your back. I've teamed it with a beaut stripe sweater from Next that boasts all my fave the pastel shades and these super comfy grey jeans and OTK boots from New Look (similar here). (Also an ideal way to add some extra warmth on a cold day I might add) and we all need that now January is not giving us a break from the cold!  So on that note, I'm off to grab myself a mug of hot chocolate and start scouring the Spring collections to find some more pops of millennial pink to add to my wardrobe - its no doubt here to stay this SS18 and I couldn't be happier about it!

Rome - City Break Style

Ciao Bellas! It's been a long time coming but finally, I'm back! A lot has changed since I last blogged. For one, I have waved good-bye to Cheltenham and traded in cotswolds life for city life in Manchester (where co-incidentally I started my blog in the first place). So, you can now find me tapping away on my keyboard blogging in a little flat in Northern Quarter! Living up here has given me all the more reason to re-start blogging, what with the copious amounts of fashion, cute cafes etc, plus someone to snap some outfit shots for me - thanks MisterYoungProfessional ;) - I've found myself four years down the line, fresh new blog look, fresh new start for 2016! (How very 'New Year, New me' cliche of me!)

But before I begin on Manchester, I just wanted to do a little city hop and share some snaps from my recent mini-break to Rome with previously mentioned pal MYP and Quite Contrary Style to bust the January blues, enjoy a little "Vino al Vino" in "any bar, just your average Roman bar" and you know, I guess maybe see some sights on the side...                                                                                                         Well I can officially say that in just a few short days Roma romanced me with it's gorgeous buildings, amazing pizza and gelato and cultural charm. So much so I have picked out many a new home there over-looking a beautiful Piazza. One day you shall be mine chandelier filled, marble floored apartment of interior dreams!

Packing for our chilly, but sunny, weekend away with a smaller-than-cabin size suitcase was not the one for an over-packer such as myself, but on our very own 'door tour' of Rome I got a few shots in front of one of the many incredible doors of one of my city-break outfits! As we all know outfit layering and flat shoes are pretty key when it comes to walking everywhere to explore a city. so I found these patent leather-style shoes a treat! My trusty silver satchel carried my camera along with the worst map of Rome in the world quite nicely, and I picked up the tassel-end scarf in Aldo whilst we were there because I definitely did not leave my scarf behind in Manchester....

Outfits aside, I have lots of shots of the city itself to share with you all on my next post!
So, till next time, Ciao!

Monochrome

1. Formal Drape Front Blouse // Topshop   2. Black Molly Jeggings // River Island   3. Gold Cuff // TU at Sainsburys   4. Tan Sandals // Topshop   5. Leopard Bag // Next

I am absolutely loving all the pieces coming through Topshop this season, they're bringing out some killer classic pieces that have left me in kind of a Topshop addiction at the moment. Ok ok, let's face it, it's hardly a temporary thing, I always love Topshop but please can we take a second in memory of my poor bank account...

hmmm on second thoughts maybe best not to dwell..

The good news is at least I have this beautiful cream wrap blouse to show for it! Hurrah! I've teamed it with my ever faithful black jeggings from River Island, chunky belt from Accessorize and tan sandals also from Topshop (see, I wasn't joking). The chunky arm cuff I have on is believe it or not from the TU range at Sainsburys, it made a nice little addition to my food basket and I love a bit of chrome accents with monochrome style looks!

If your looking for something to fit in  the 'Smart-Casual' dress code I think this shirt is pretty perfect,  it's a great one to throw on to dress up just a simple pair of jeans or skirt! Now the tan sandals, these beauties are just so comfy to wear and I love that they have the whole 'slider' style look to them that's everywhere at the moment, they just have a little heel instead! I couldn't decide for ages if I preferred them in black or tan, but the tan won in the end as I already have a fair few black shoes and thought they would great with paler colours too! If you're in need of some black sandals however I would recommend!

Hobbs NW3 Circle Lace Dress

1.White NW3 Circle Lace Dress // £179 // c/o Hobbs   2. Nude Snakeskin Clutch // £25 // Miss Selfridge (Old)  3.White Blazer // £50 // Topshop (Similar Here)  4.Turqouise Long Pendent // £10 // Accessorize  5. Rose Gold Mesh Watch // £25 // c/o Next  6. Patent Nude Heels // £15 // Marks & Spencer (Similar Here)
Hello lovelies! This is a little summery post before I head off to Thailand tomorrow! (Soooo excited!) So I'll be a little quiet for a week or so! I was asked by the lovely people at Hobbs to style up one of their occasion wear dresses and fell completely in love at first sight with this gorgeous crochet NW3 lace circle dress. It's so pretty and delicate with it's geometric cutwork circles and nude/pink underlay, it's perfect to dress up for a wedding or summer event! It has a gorgeous fit too, coming in at the waist and pleating gently out through the skirt to sit flatteringly over your hips - a real plus if like me you're a little self-concious of that area! I have to say though one of my favourite parts of this dress is that back! How cute is the lace bat wing on it? It almost lends itself  to a matching crop and skirt combo which I love!

I decided to team this pretty number with my chunky rose-gold watch from Next and statement clutch from Miss Selfridge, adding a gentle pop of colour to the outfit with turquoise accents. I recently got my nails done with a summer bright, blue shellac at my favourite local salon - Earl's & Co. in Cheltenham, if you're ever near by make sure you pop in! - which I think sets off the colour too! For my summer event look I opted for keeping my shoes nude, however I really think if you wanted to add some sky-scraper coloured numbers that would really work too!

Blood Orange & Leopard Print

Deena & Ozzy Parker Buckle Chelsea Boots // £75 // Urban Outitters    Blood Orange Knit Jumper // £24.99 // H&M   Leopard Print Clutch // N/A // c/o Next      Black Jessie Jeggings // £28 // Oasis

Helloooo Mixbagers! Today's post brings a bright and breezy casual day outfit that I recently coined together. A slouchy jumper and jeans is by no means groundbreaking but sometimes it really is the simple things that I love! This blood orange jumper has become a big old fave recently with it's sassy brightness, cosy chunky knit and perfectly long sleeves - that sounds odd but you know that snug length when a jumper sits comfortingly long enough over your hands? Well, that.. please say it's not just me?!
It goes with a whole array of colours from greys, blue jeans to whites and is so easy to wear it's become very much a staple in my wardbrobe!

I love to throw in a print with this kind of bold colour, if anything just to set it off and inject a bit of fun into a simplistic outfit. This little leopard print leather clutch-come-shoulder strap bag from Next has been perfect to carry a few essentials out and about! It even has a faux-fur feel it too. Ooohhh.

Onto my next favourite thing these BOOTS. I had to capitalize that purely because I have so much love for them! After puppy destroyed my apparently very chew-able black Oasis ankle boots (R.I.P my little suede numbers) I used an Urban Outfitters discount code to purchase these beauts! In all honesty I have never bought shoes from UO before but these Deena & Ozzy Chelsea boots are amazing. I love the buckle detail style of them and whenever I have them on, the cuban style heel and sole feel pretty damn sturdy - which comes as a nice change to alot of the cheapy pair of boots I've bought in the past!

Tartan Mon Amour

This has to be one of the most comfiest outfits I've ever blogged! It's taken me a while to warm up to this style of Tartan print (It's very reminiscent of my uniform as a school kid!) -  however I spotted these Tartan leggings on a few of my fave bloggers' Instagrams a while ago and it definitely brought me round to the idea. So much so I picked myself up a pair in Topshop a couple of months back! They are super duper comfy and although my size wasn't available, I found going down a size was a better fit anyway with them being so stretchy! For £25 I was a little worried when pulling them on that they were going to come up see-through like so many patterned leggings do, but they remained check pattern in tack and they are surprisingly thick! Unfortunately they have now sold out.. BUT they are still on the site which makes me think they will come back in stock and also I hunted down some on Ebay if any of you guys wanted to buy them!

I've also been loving all the Sportswear Luxe-esq tops and sweatshirts coming into stores and have too much Amour for this 'L'Amour' slogan H&M one. It's so soft and easy to wear, and perfect to throw on if you want to keep it casual. I wanted this quite slouchy so opted for a size up so I could wear shirts etc underneath it too! It looks great layered with skirts, shorts, jeans you name it!
