Hello lovelies! This is a little summery post before I head off to Thailand tomorrow! (Soooo excited!) So I'll be a little quiet for a week or so! I was asked by the lovely people at Hobbs to style up one of their occasion wear dresses and fell completely in love at first sight with this gorgeous crochet NW3 lace circle dress. It's so pretty and delicate with it's geometric cutwork circles and nude/pink underlay, it's perfect to dress up for a wedding or summer event! It has a gorgeous fit too, coming in at the waist and pleating gently out through the skirt to sit flatteringly over your hips - a real plus if like me you're a little self-concious of that area! I have to say though one of my favourite parts of this dress is that back! How cute is the lace bat wing on it? It almost lends itself  to a matching crop and skirt combo which I love!

I decided to team this pretty number with my chunky rose-gold watch from Next and statement clutch from Miss Selfridge, adding a gentle pop of colour to the outfit with turquoise accents. I recently got my nails done with a summer bright, blue shellac at my favourite local salon - Earl's & Co. in Cheltenham, if you're ever near by make sure you pop in! - which I think sets off the colour too! For my summer event look I opted for keeping my shoes nude, however I really think if you wanted to add some sky-scraper coloured numbers that would really work too!

What do you all think of the look?

Blazer and Breton Stripes

Weigh Anchor! I can't help but feel a little Sailor-esq in this classics outfit I paired up the other day! This stripey linen breton striped tee from Topshop has been a bit of a fave staple at the mo, amazing to pop on with jeans, cardigans-you name it, but I'm sure you guys already know that as it's a bit of a basic in every gal's wardrobe! And of course, the fitted blazer is another one of those everyday essentials! I got this blazer for Christmas but with all the rubbish weather we've been having I've not managed to wear it much! It's from Mango and has such a cute cut to it. I love the ribbon lapels and sharp lines! I know what you're thinking.. another jacket?! Honestly though I wish I could have a whole wardrobe of them! Make-up wise I went fairly natural with some new goodies I will share with you all soon! I also added a dash of my MAC Ladybug Lipstick which I still love and have had for ageess now. I'm going to be sad the day my trusty red ends!

What do you guys think?

Crafty Blogger Meet

Hi guys! On Sunday I had a fab day getting my craft on the Crafty Blogger meet in Bristol. Hosted by the lovely Paige from Paige Joanna and Sammy from The Cookie Button I met up with my beauts blogger gal Vicki and we headed to The Birdcage for the event! I'd never been in the little cafe-come-vintage shop before but it was totally perfect for the whole event with gorgeously quirky and vintage decor, it's definitely somewhere I'll be visiting again. We were treated to a cheeky slice of delicious cake and unlimited tea, which in case you may not have noticed is right up my street!

3 or 4 cups of China Jasmine tea and a catch up with Vicki later, Paige and Sammy popped round and chatted to us all before we were shown all the fab crafty bits the girls had got together for us to get creative with! There were so many different things to choose from so I ended up grabbing a big old selection of faux flowers, ribbons, bows - you name it, and decided to make a little floral corsage head band. Sammy kindly gave me a few pointers how to attach the flowers and despite a few mishaps with the super glue (webbed fingers was not really ideal) I was surprised at how easy it is to create a cute little head band.

There were some amazingly creative things spilling out from all the lovely fellow bloggers with big floral crowns to bunny ears and cute little bow ties, but it was Vicki who won the prize for the best creation with her super cool burgandy studded floral head band!! Yay! We were also treated to a seriously generous goodie bag with lots of vintagey bits and bobs inside. I can't wait to go back to my 90's kid roots and crack out the floral scrunchie I had in mine :)

It had been ages since I'd properly sat down and done anything crafty so a massive thank you to Paige and Sammy for hosting so a great event and being so welcoming! It made a perfect Sunday afternoon!

Outfits deets: I ended up having to have a quick change last minute going for my fave slouchy sports-luxe top from Olive, skinny jeans from Miss Selfridge and Sandals and Bar Necklace from Oasis

If you were born in the 80's

Heyyy Mixbagers!  Below are a few quick snaps of a casual day outfit I wore recently to my internship when Spring was trying to make its way through! I have no idea what happened to my hair that day - but it seems to have gone XXL so I look like I'm channeling a bit of an 80's vibe with big hair and a denim shirt haha!

I'm wearing my fave little mini dress from Topshop (honestly it's so good for layering, you can easily pop it under jumpers, or with cardigans etc!) denim shirt from Oasis and Cross Necklace from Matalan. I hadn't shopped in Matalan for... errr actually I couldn't tell you how long ago, but found some great and very cheap little jewellery pieces in there when I popped in last month, so I recommend it if you need to pick up a couple of things at a purse friendly price! I've teamed this casual look with my classic heeled boots from Miss Selfridge and felt super comfy! I'm not wearing any bracelets or rings which is quite unlike me - but because I work all day on a laptop they only clang against the desk so I figured it was probably for the sake of the office I didn't wear my usual amount!

Sparkle Roll Sleeve Mini Dress // Topshop // £26
Tallulah Western Shirt // Oasis // £30
Cross Necklace // Matalan // £5
What do you think of this ouftit?
Don't forget to enter my giveaway here for a chance to win a fab pair of fashion glasses with 6 runner up e-vouchers to give away :) It doesn't take long!

Snow Day Outfit

Hi everyone! As part of my new year blogging resolutions I said I would try and spend more time doing outfit posts so.. drum roll please, here is my first outfit post of the year! It was surprisingly alright jumping out in the snow to take some shots although I don't know about you guys, but it's made me realise I have no practical shoes to wear in this kind of weather at all - apart from wellies!

Faux Leather Quilted Biker Jacket // Topshop
Collared Crew Jumper // Oasis
Skater Dress // Topshop
Chelsea Boots // Miss Selfridge
Beanie // Topshop

I'm wearing my faux leather biker jacket from Topshop with a collared crew jumper from Oasis. Originally this jumper had an animal print collar (which I love) but I was given this unwanted leather collar from my Mum who has the cream version, so I decided to switch it for this outfit! The jumper is super soft and cosy and as I'm a sucker for collared tops, I love the fact you can switch the collars on it as they are detachable, or you can remove them completely to make a pretty versatile classic crew neck! It just means I'm now more tempted to get it in different colours!

Underneath I'm wearing a classic plain black skater dress which is last season Topshop. Although it's sleeveless it's pretty perfect when it comes to layering up in winter and my plum chunky knit beanie which is, guess what, also from Topshop always adds a bit of extra warmth!
- I've only just realised how much of this outfit is from there, ooops sorry guys, bit Topshop obsessed-
It's been my favourite beanie to wear this winter not only because it keeps my head so snug but injects a bit of colour into lots of outfits! My little Chelsea boots are from Miss Selfridge - you've probably seen it my other outfit posts as they're my everyday go to boots and surprisingly they have quite a gripy sole!

What have you all been wearing in the snow?
