Millennial Pink

Pink Teddy Bear Coat - Topshop
Stripe Jumper - Next
Over the knee boots - New Look
The Teddy Bear Coat has no doubt got to have been the coat of the season, so when I spotted this perfect pink number in the Topshop sale I knew it would be the answer to my winter sartorial dreams!   Long, cosy and unstructured, with dreamy big statement buttons, it's just like wrapping yourself up in a fluffy warm hug. I'm so in love with the millennial pink colour of it too, err so yes... millennial pink is very much a thing it seems now, but when I've come to write about it I've got to hold my hands up and admit, I've had no idea how to describe it! To think that a new shade of pink has been created when there are a helluva lot of shades already out there is a bit cray, but I can assure you millennial babes, it has very much been given the thumbs up as a pantone shade in its own right. Glamour have described it as 'Pink with the blue taken out of it,' whilst the Guardian have dubbed it a 'grapefruit shade of apricot salmon'. Hmmm, doesn't quite have the same tasty appeal when you describe it like that does it? But either way I am very much a fan so, welcome to my wardrobe millennial pink! You'll no doubt have seen it up and down the catwalk to basically gracing everything on the rails in Zara!

The best thing about this coat is it will go with so many items in your wardrobe! Greys, pinks, black, white and denim blues, you name it and this pink baby has got your back. I've teamed it with a beaut stripe sweater from Next that boasts all my fave the pastel shades and these super comfy grey jeans and OTK boots from New Look (similar here). (Also an ideal way to add some extra warmth on a cold day I might add) and we all need that now January is not giving us a break from the cold!  So on that note, I'm off to grab myself a mug of hot chocolate and start scouring the Spring collections to find some more pops of millennial pink to add to my wardrobe - its no doubt here to stay this SS18 and I couldn't be happier about it!

Jumper Dress & Chunky Knits

Hello Hello Mixbagers. I can only apologise for my poor posting this past week, I feel like I’ve already put my blogging New Years Resolution in jeopardy and it’s still only bloomin’ January! But anyway onwards and upwards and all that -  the reason I’ve been so busy is I have recently started interning at Motel Rocks HQ for 2 days a week and am still working at my retail job alongside it so it’s all been a tad busy! I’m absolutely loving it though so it makes not having much spare time worth it! You can check out the blog posts I’ve been posting on the Motel blog here, here, here and here.

Faux Leather Quilted Biker Jacket // Topshop
Jumper Dress // Primark
Knit Scarf // Similar -Topshop
Stud Bag // Similar - New Look
Bird Necklace // Oasis

Above is a quick glance at another of my outfits from the snow days last week! In the winter a jumper dress is definitely one of my favourite outfits, I love nothing more than popping on a comfy jumper dress, leggings and boots! This one was a bit of a steal from Primark for £10, I love its maroon colouring and the feature elbow pads and it’s also been made with a novelty yarn so has a flicker of different colours running through it. (hello textiles info!)The chunky knit scarf which I have worn to death this winter is Topshop and the little bird pendent necklace is from Oasis whilst the stud bag is from New Look.

It feels very strange looking at these snow pictures now the sun is out! Hopefully it’s here to stay though and we can all start looking forward to the Spring Summer season! I've got some product reviews to share with you all shortly as my nail art transfers from WooWoo nails arrived the other week and I've recently bought an amazing Lee Stafford product I want to share with you all :)

Born and raised in a summer haze ; Summer Sale Picks

Finally we've had a glimpse of the supposed summer! And with summer of course comes the sales! I usually really struggle to pick up many discounted pieces, mainly because of my lack of patience admittedly, but this time I stuck it out and managed to hunt out a couple of bits at absolute bargain prices in New Look, Topshop and Oasis!

My first steal the polks dot trilby hat from Oasis! I've always loved a good hat, perfect for protecting your hair from the heat of course, but it can add a lot more to a simplistic outfit for festivals or beach wear! This one I bought for a tenner, but it's now gone down to £8!

I also got involved with some serious accessories with these rings :) The large gold one is from Topshop for £2.50! In complete honesty it does hinder quite a lot of movement and wearing this almost makes me feel like I'm wearing some sort of finger guard, or hand shield but I love the Aztec look of it and it's statement appeal. The turquoise stone ring is not so much of a sale pick up, but was part of a set from H&M for £2.99!
I tried to create some beachy waves with my hair by adding the classic salt and water mixture. It did create a nice texture however it really dried my hair out with my dip-dyed ends, so I recommend hitting the intensive conditioner the wash after!
Tortoise Shell Wayfarers from Topshop £16
Now I'm all finished at my summer job all I need is a last minute holiday deal to wear this summers outfit on! Have any of you managed to pick up some summer deals?

I'm supporting Team GB with Next!

Isn't this year such a good one to be British? (Weather aside) I can't remember the last time I felt this Patriotic, especially as the lead up to the Olympic season is upon us! I can't wait for the games to begin even though I'm still a little sad that unfortunately I didn't manage to get any tickets. But hey, here's to supporting Team GB at home and what better way to do it than with the help of the Next supporter scarves!

As the official clothing and homeware sponsor for the London 2012 games, Next, in support of both the Olympic and Paralympic teams have a range of official merchandise available that will be a real memento of this summer. When they contacted me to see if I wanted to get involved in their 'Wear it, Wave it, Win with it' campaign, of course I jumped at the chance and was sent the official Paralympic scarf to see how I would style it up.

I decided to spruce up my Miss Selfridge cross body box clasp bag, and tie the scarf to the handle. It was a great way to liven up my simplistic outfit that day and really represent British heritage!

"Talent, Pride and Determination"

The scarves are available in either Large, 90 cm x 90 cm (£10) or Small, 50cm x 50cm (£5), and support either the Olympic (White scarf) or Paralympic (Blue Scarf) teams. The paralympic scarf features a hand painted lion and the Olympic scarf features 900 figures  to represent the 900 athletes of Team GB.  They're a great way to fly the flag for Britain especially with the profits being donated to the British Olympic and Paralympic association.

Plain White Tee- Topshop
Maxi Skirt - New Look
Gladiator Sandals - River Island
Box Clasp Bag- Miss Selfridge
Official GB supporter scarf - Next

Even the Duchess of Cambridge is getting involved and doesn't she wear it well!

There are so many great ways to wear these scarves! How would you wear it? Have any of you been showing your love for team GB with one of these scarves? If in doubt head to the Next supporters site to get some inspiration!

What I wore; Manchester Fashion Week Day 1

So here it is, my first ever outfit post! I'm usually one to be behind the camera instead of infront of it, but thought I'd share with you what I wore for the first day of Manchester Fashion week! (Excuse the slightly grubby flats, they got rather dusty at MCRFW with all the new build material they have there!) It was pretty nippy and rainy up North so I found myself cracking out the fur stole again! Here's hoping to the sunny weather returning soon!

Maxi Skirt: New Look
Cream Jumper: Topshop
Coin Necklace: Topshop
Leather Jacket: Zara
Fur Stole: H&M

Winter Favourites

Here are some of my favourite pieces from the high street this week! I seem to have caught the animal bug as un-intentionally alot of the pieces are embracing either the faux Dalmatian, feather or leopard print that has been taking over this season!

In particular, River Island's attachable faux fur print collar is one of my favourite items with it's ability to instantly inject some of this season's fashion and re-invent any basic coat. Perfect for those penny watchers amongst you!

1. River Island, Dalmatian Faux Fur Collar, £13.
2. Oasis, Embellished Collar Top, £38.
 3. Accessorize, Owl Feather Earrings, £7.
4. Topshop, Klover Gold Trim Suede Slippers, £52.

Fend off the cold with an over sized coat, as bigger still remains to be better with androgynous tailoring and sharp finishes. Why not team with an over sized clutch as a statement accessory to complete the look!

5. New Look, Paperbag Skirt, £24.99.
6. River Island, Oversized Envelope Clutch, £30.
7.Topshop, Oversized Boyfriend coat by Izzy Lane, £220.
 8. Republic, Glass heart and Tassel Necklace, £6.99.
